Steps to Make Your Home Smoke-Free and Quit Tobacco

Making your home smoke free is a great first step to quit tobacco. It can also greatly improve your family's health by reducing their exposure to tobacco smoke. 

 

Follow these steps to making your home smoke and tobacco free. 

Make your children's room smoke-free, post a 'NO SMOKING' sign outside your children's room.

Reduce the number of rooms where smoking is allowed in your home. )Create smoke-free zones)

Reduce the number of activities you associate with smoking. For example, avoid smoking while on the phone, watching TV, or while you are drinking coffee.

Smoke in only one room where children are not allowed.

Ask friends and family to smoke OUTSIDE Only. Post a 'NO SMOKING" sign on the from door.

Smoke outside only. Leave ashtrays, lighters, and cigarettes outside. 

Stop smoking in the car. Leave your cigarettes at home or keep them in the trunk while driving. 

Make sure your chi, family, and pets are not exposed to your smoke anymore.
